Algerian Boxer Imane Khelif Disqualified from Women’s Boxing World Cup.

Serbia – February 10, 2025 – Algerian Olympic champion Imane Khelif has been disqualified from the 2025 Women’s Boxing World Cup for failing the International Boxing Association’s (IBA) gender eligibility criteria.

The IBA stated that Khelif’s testosterone levels exceeded the permitted threshold, leading to her exclusion. The decision has sparked controversy, with Khelif vowing to challenge the ruling.

Meanwhile, IBA plans to sue the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for allowing Khelif and Lin Yu-ting to compete at Paris 2024, citing new gender policies influenced by Trump’s executive order on transgender athletes.
