Arnold Cassola questions Rule of Law delegation

Arnold Cassola, independent candidate, yesterday wrote to Dr. Mario Sammut, Head of the European Parliament Office in Malta, in light of the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia following the committee’s judgement earlier this week, he expressed his concerns about the rule of law.
In the report, published on Monday, the committee said that the former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, his chief of staff Keith Schembri and former Minister Konrad Mizzi “remain unprosecuted for serious and substantiated evidence of corruption, including through NAO and FIAU reports and evidence published by the late Daphne Caruana Galizia”.
Cassola questioned the delegation’s reasoning for their decisions on many points.
The following points were raised:
” May I ask on what basis did the delegation come to its conclusion?
1. Because Joseph Muscat kept in place his Chief of Staff, Keith Schembri, despite the fact that he had a secret company in Panama?
2.  Because Joseph Muscat kept in place as Minister, Konrad Mizzi, despite the fact that he had a secret company in Panama?
3. Because Joseph Muscat accepted thousands of euros worth of gifts from Yorgen Fenech, despite knowing that the latter was the suspected mastermind of the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia and had a hidden account in Dubai to bribe politicians?
4.  Because Joseph Muscat invited Yorgen Fenech to his birthday party, despite knowing that the latter was the suspected mastermind of the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia and had a hidden account in Dubai to bribe politicians?
5. Because Joseph Muscat used to dine and socialize with Yorgen Fenech, despite knowing that the latter was the suspected mastermind of the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia and had a hidden account in Dubai to bribe politicians?
6. Because Joseph Muscat used to ask Yorgen Fenech about his sexual performances with Keith Schembri’s assistant, despite knowing that Fenech was the suspected mastermind of the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia and had a hidden account in Dubai to bribe politicians?
7. Because, after the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia, Joseph Muscat shared a chat group with Keith Schembri and Yorgen Fenech, despite knowing that Fenech was the suspected mastermind of the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia and had a hidden account in Dubai to bribe politicians?
8. Because Joseph Muscat acted as paid “consultant” of Swiss company Accutor, that was linked to the Vitals company that has swindled millions of euros from the Maltese people?
Come on, dear members of the Delegation, this is normal behaviour of any Prime Minister in any democratic country, no?
How dare you accuse Ix-Xiħ of corrupt behaviour?” asked Arnold Cassola.
