Update: Time 20:23 ABBA General Secretary Simon Elmer also asked for the right to reply after his leader asked for a reply on what PMN Malta has published. This is what Elmer has written to PMN Malta and asked to be published.
“I am not going to fall for Ivan’s trap. Mr.Mintoff should know that he cannot act individually and independently in a Political Party and against Partit ABBA executive decisions. I and another member of the Party have been sending emails to Mr.Mintoff for several days without a reply. I wish him luck and we’re keeping him in our Prayers. Simon Elmer”

After PMN MALTA broadcasted news about what Simon Elmer, the General Secretary of the ABBA party, had written on PMN MALTA’s TikTok, the Leader of the ABBA party, Ivan Grech Mintoff, promptly requested a right of reply and sent us the following statement.
“Seeing as he is not succeeding with his mission internally, it seems that Simon Elmer’s new mission is now to speak publicly about the internal affairs of ABBA party, clearly, in order to harm ABBA Party’s electoral campaign and must therefore be renounced by all means at hand.
As per ABBA’s statute, all decisions are made ONLY and exclusively by the executive. No meeting has been called for all executive members nor any vote taken that has given Simon Elmer the right to go public and attack other members publicly in the manner that he is doing. Especially when the minutes of the executive meeting show otherwise to his claims. This is in my opinion a very stupid and dangerous game that he is playing.
In simple terms, Simon has now gone completely rogue without ANY given authority and is knowingly, purposefully and unnecessarily, harming the Party directly.
As per ABBA’s statute, which states that the executive “is responsible for the general discipline of the members of ABBA party.”, I am therefore calling the executive to an urgent meeting to take urgent disciplinary action in this particular regard by the end of this week, failing which I shall be instigating legal action against the harm due to his irresponsible actions and words are causing myself and (as legal representative) to the party itself.”
