ALS activist Bjorn Formosa called for more privacy when it comes to voting for the disabled
ALS leading activist Bjorn Formosa called for more privacy when it comes to voting for disabled persons. He did so after revealing that he had essentially broken the law in the parliamentary elections after his wife secretly had to write down his preference on the ballot. About 23hrs ago Formosa uploaded a video on TikTok to express his disappointment with these voting rules.
He said he had to come to this point because people who cannot use their hands are not allowed to take a person they trust into the voting booth with them to write down the vote on their behalf. Instead, they must make their voting preference known to PL and PN agents.
Bjorn had discussed the issue with PL candidate and former MP Oliver Scicluna last November where both agreed that the law should be changed as soon as possible.
