Have you ever noticed how some politicians or public figures suddenly become passionate about human rights or justice exactly when it’s trending?
They post the right hashtags.
They wear the right pins.
They give emotional speeches.
But when it really counts and people need them to stand up, take risks, or challenge real power, they stay quiet. Or worse, they side with the very systems that are causing harm.
What Is Controlled Opposition?
It’s when a person or group appears to be against the system, but is actually working with it behind the scenes. They might criticize a few policies or talk tough on injustice, but they never push too far. Why? Because their role is to give people hope without ever threatening the power structure.
It’s like letting people scream into a pillow — it feels good for a second, but nothing really changes.
People start to trust the wrong voices.
They think,
“Finally! Someone is on our side.”
But that person (purse-in) is just another actor in the play.
This false hope keeps people calm, waiting, believing a hero is coming — instead of demanding real change from the ground up.
Politicians or public figures pretend to support a cause just to look good and not because they care.
For example speaking up only when it’s politically safe, attending protests just for photos, then doing nothing about the issue.
It’s just a performance like putting on a costume without doing the real work.
Here’s the truth: no politician is your savior !
If someone in power truly cared, you wouldn’t have to beg them to do the right thing. You wouldn’t have to fight them just to be heard.
Real change doesn’t come from the top but it comes when people stand together, speak the truth, and refuse to be manipulated by fake smiles, quick cash handouts, or empty promises.
Every election season, governments try to buy loyalty with a few cheques, while opposition parties sell illusions through glossy manifestos that disappear the moment the votes are counted.
You don’t need a savior. You need the truth and the courage to face it !
