FKNK – On the occasion of the Bird Migration World Day, the Federation for Hunting and Conservation – Malta (FKNK) released more than 400 Turtle doves to the wild from Paradise Bay in Mellieħa.
Since the launch The FKNK ‘Turtle Dove Captive-breeding and Release into the Wild’ back in 2017, the FKNK released hundreds of turtle doves annually after the offspring were bred in captivity to the wild during the bird migration period whilst the hunting season is closed.
