No updates from Public health regarding Masks

A study published on Cochrane on January 30, 2023, shows that masks are inadequate at protecting against Covid 19 or respiratory viruses.

Despite the fact that this study provides solid evidence, the public health did not remove or update the Covid measures, and one is still required to wear a mask in clinics, hospitals, and nursing homes in accordance with mandatory regulations.

Mandatory Standards of Public Health
Dr.Jean Karl Soler a Maltese Family doctor, Occupational health specialist, Researcher: Epidemiology, has posted on his Facebook profile a month ago (1st February 2023) –
“This is the latest review of the evidence on the effectiveness of masks in preventing the spread of respiratory viruses. They most probably make little or no difference in preventing influenza or COVID-19 infection.
There is no evidence on the effectiveness of face shields or border screening.”

Despite all of this scientific information, the obligatory standards have remained unchanged since May 2022, and the general public has been kept in the dark about this, with the majority of people believing that masks protect them from Covid 19.
Another global debate is the spread of misinformation; one must ask who is genuinely misinforming the people in general.
