Vatican City- The meeting between Pope Francis and Russian Orthodox Patriarch Kirill in June, which was scheduled to take place in Jerusalem, has been postponed. This was revealed by the Pope in an Argentine publication.
Reuters reported on April 11 that the Pope may see Kirill on June 14, since the Pope’s journey could have been extended for another day while he was in Lebanon from June 12 to June 13.
During an interview, Francis told La Nacion that the plan was suspended because Vatican diplomats advised that such meeting could ” lend itself to much confusion at the moment”
