An American military corporation is in negotiations with the blacklisted NSO Group about purchasing Pegasus, the Israeli company’s spyware and hacking technology that has been used to spy on politicians, activists, and journalists all around the world.
According to Intelligence Online, a news outlet that originally broke the news, L3Harris, a worldwide defence contractor located in Florida that develops technology in the air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains, is in early talks with NSO Group to buy Pegasus.
There are still a lot of details to work out, and the US and Israeli governments might hinder any agreement.
NSO Group has been in the international spotlight for their facilitation of human rights abuses around the world, from Palestine to El Salvador to Poland.
