Video – Bangladeshi Community in Malta Protests Outside European Parliament Office.

The Bangladeshi community in Malta held a peaceful protest today outside the European Parliament Office on St Paul’s Street, Valletta. Demonstrators voiced concerns over severe human rights violations in Bangladesh, including violent crackdowns on protesters, a strict curfew, and a communications blackout.
Nazmul Istiak of the Bangladesh Malta Business Association addressed the crowd, demanding a change in government, accountability for violence, and justice for victims’ families. The protest is part of a broader response to the government’s harsh repression of student-led demonstrations in Bangladesh.
PMnews was present at the event and captured footage of the protest. Another demonstration is scheduled for Tuesday, 30 July, in front of the Maltese Parliament in Freedom Square, Valletta.
