Today, 9th April, Edwin Vassallo released a video declaring his intention to run for the European Parliament elections. In the video, Vassallo emphasized his belief that fundamental values such as life, family, and freedom are currently under threat. He expressed concern that decisions being made are primarily driven by profit motives, neglecting the importance of these core values.
Vassallo highlighted the impact of European Union laws on Maltese and Gozitan families, as well as on the younger and older generations. He criticized laws approved by MEPs, which he believes have not adequately considered the well-being of Maltese citizens.

In response to these concerns, Vassallo outlined his electoral campaign’s focus on defending these values and advocating for the interests of Maltese families and the nation’s liberty. He announced plans to further elaborate on his campaign message during a media conference scheduled for Saturday, April 13th at 1 pm in front of the Parliament building.
Vassallo’s decision to enter the European Parliament race signals his commitment to addressing pressing issues and representing the interests of the Maltese people on the European stage.
