Why haven’t all Covid restrictions been lifted in Malta?

The Prime Minister announced after the election that all Covid restrictions would be removed in accordance with the “professional advices” given, but the removal of all restrictions was not accomplished.
Our competitors, such as Greece, Spain, and Italy, have already eliminated all travel restrictions, stated yesterday Dr. Adrian Delia during he speech. Delia said that it is not the main responsibility of Minister Clayton Bartolo, but that it is his duty to investigate why these restrictions are being allowed to be unduly oppressed. It seems that Dr. Delia is the only politician that have raised his concerns about this issue.
Minister Clayton Bartolo posted earlier on his social media that The Mediterranean Tourism Forum is another confirmation that our country can be one of the main protagonists in shaping a vibrant tourism policy for the Mediterranean region.
MIA also published that the majority of the countries that are directly connected to Malta International Airport have now completely removed their travel requirements for passengers coming from a European Union or Schengen country.
A petition for the removal of COVID related travel requirements in Malta has already collected over 4,000 signatures so far.
