April 26, Following a widespread recall of Strauss goods ranging from chocolate to ice cream, pudding, cookies, and other snacks due to contamination concerns, at least two children and one adult have sought medical care with suspected incidents of salmonella illness.
Two youngsters who recently sought treatment at the Assuta Medical Center in Ashdod are suspected of being poisoned by salmonella, according to Hebrew media sources. Full lab results are awaited. In addition, a guy with similar symptoms who was examined at an urgent care centre in Bnei Brak indicated he had recently ingested some of the infected items.
According to Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz, the event will be thoroughly investigated, and the facility will not be permitted to continue operations until it has been cleared.
