ABBA party today presented a juridical challenge today against the Commissioner of police. Outside court, Ivan Grech Mintoff, Leader of the party stated:
”ABBA Party is committed to protect human life from conception. Last year, we presented the Police with two Criminal Complaints (Kwerelas) and related proof in order for them to investigate alleged abortion-related crimes. We promised then that should the police not proceed with arrests based on the proof provided then we would proceed to challenge their lack of action in court.
Today, we have kept that promise and we also promise to work harder to protect human life and to prevent crimes related to abortion. Abortion always ends up with the death of an innocent unborn baby and this is not acceptable to the Maltese.”
